3. Kanji: An alphabet with logographic Chinese characters, each letter has a meaning and may be read as more than one way depending on the context.
Even if Hiragana and Katakana are much easier than Kanji, each one has 46 characters, almost the double as the the western roman alphabet from A to Z.
That's why the first step to learn how to read in Japanese is memorizing all Hiragana, then all Katakana, and afterwards memorize as many Kanji as possible.

After trying to read any word, right or wrong, the app will always show you the translation, as it wouldn't be fun if you don't know the meaning of what's written. After testing yourself this app will give a score for your reference, and even if you make a mistake you can try to correct yourself with more retries.
